COLUMBIA — South Carolina baseball’s commanding win over East Tennessee State gives the Gamecocks a two-game winning streak heading into the road series this weekend vs. Missouri.

The No. 14 Gamecocks (30-14, 11-10 SEC) travel for a three-game SEC series with Mizzou. The Tigers (20-26, 6-15 SEC) are also coming off a mid-week win, as they defeated Lindenwood 13-1.

South Carolina is tied with Vanderbilt for third in the SEC East with 11-10 records and overall, tied for sixth in the SEC. On Wednesday, the Gamecocks were projected to host a regional game in the NCAA Tournament.

The conference series at Taylor Stadium begins Friday and ends Sunday. Per game notes, South Carolina leads the all-time series with Missouri 20-13 heading into the weekend. Last season, the Gamecocks swept the Tigers.
