Cristian Pandel, CEO of the tour operator Christian Tour, one of the biggest players in the local tourism market, plans to acquire some market players for the development of the company. The entrepreneur says that he is in discussions with several travel agencies for future transactions.
“This year, we had several acquisitions of small agencies that we incorporated into the Christian Tour group. The agencies we purchased are among our resellers. We took the market leader from Baia Mare, Sfara Tour, and also acquired Travel Plaza. We still have an appetite for small, medium and even large acquisitions. We are having discussions for larger purchases and if things go as we expect, we will have more purchase announcements in the next period”, says Cristian Pandel for ZF.
The biggest acquisition of the Christian Tour group was the takeover of the entire share package of the airline AnimaWings, founded by Cristian Pandel. Aegean Airlines later joined the company’s shareholding, which had ended up owning the majority of the shares. At the beginning of this year, the Christian Tour group took over the stake held by Aegean Airlines and became the sole shareholder.
