Most parties have made public the lists of candidates for the positions of county and local councilors in Constanța. But there is also an exception, the AUR party. They chose to keep their names secret, the reason cited being… the validation of the lists. Although the BEM (Municipal Electoral Office) communicated the validation, those in the party leadership did not want to share these names with the voters, secrecy being at home in the party. Alas, we managed to obtain the lists of local councilors, the head of the list being Ovidiu Cupșa, the AUR candidate for Constanța City Hall.

The second place is occupied by Laurentiu Mironescu, who returns to politics after about 13 years in which he was absent from the scene. We remind you that Mironescu was a leading member of the Democratic Party, secretary of state in the MAI and was investigated by the DNA, in the case of illegal businesses in the Port of Constanța.

The third place was taken by Cosmin Hristu, an economist from Medgidia, with no experience in politics. Probably as an image blow, the 4th place is occupied by Oleg Danovski, the son of the great choreographer, who gave the name of the ballet theater in Constanța. Lawyer Ioan Stela managed to get the 5th place on the list of local councilors, probably as a reward for the involvement she has shown recently.

These are the main candidates on the AUR lists who want a place in the local council. Apart from them, the other candidates are novices in politics, only Gheorghe Slabu can be mentioned as having experience in politics.
After centuries of struggle, the AUR candidates for the Constanța City Council are finally known. We don’t know the reasons why they chose this secrecy, but the party elders probably have good reasons for keeping this list secret.
