The AUR candidate for the Capital’s City Hall, Mihai Enache, announced on Tuesday that he filed a criminal complaint against the Capital’s general mayor, Nicuşor Dan, arguing that the people of Bucharest must find out where the money used in his electoral campaign comes from.

“I filed a criminal complaint against Nicusor Dan. The citizens of Bucharest have the right to know the real sources of funding for the lousy election advertising that has littered the city,” Enache wrote on his Facebook page.

We remind you that, on Monday, in a press conference, Nicusor Dan discussed the money for the promotion campaign for the local elections, explaining that the external paneling costs 180,000 euros and that there is an agreement with the USR that it will pay 100,000 euros of the total .

“It is an agreement with the USR. As I said, the outdoor paneling costs 180,000 euros. I paid a first installment of 70,000 euros and the agreement with them is to pay 100,000 of the remaining payment. I don’t know if the payment has been made or not until this moment”, said the mayor.

Also, Nicusor Dan, who is supported for a new mandate by the United Right Alliance (USR-PMP-Forţa Dreptei), also stated that he paid the 70,000 euros from the money he collected from donations.

“Among all the parties that support me, USR is the only one that receives that subsidy from the state”, continued the mayor.
