Diana Baltag, the girl from Avrig with a golden voice – Ziarul Messagerul de Sibiu

At only 14 years old, he charms the audience in front of every stage he sings on. Diana Baltag, the Austrian born in foreign lands discovered her passion for music only two years ago and is a rising talent.

Young Diana Baltag is one of the young hopes of popular music from Olt County. At the age of 14, the girl is particularly modest, but when she puts on the folk costume and goes on stage, she shines.

Diana is a student of the “Ilie Micu” Popular School of Arts and Crafts in Sibiu, she has been part of the “Purtata Avrigului” Folk Ensemble for two years and is also a member of the “Doruri Sibiene” Folk Ensemble. He participated in many contests and festivals in the country and abroad, as well as in television shows, but he feels best when he sings in Avrig, for the people he grew up among.

Born in foreign lands, in Greece, Diana grew up in Avrig, in Mârşa, where she still lives. She discovered her passion for music relatively late, and since then it has become a priority for her. “I liked to sing since I was little, being the only person in our family endowed with this gift. About two years ago, when I was playing in the searios, my mother asked me if I wanted to attend the classes at the School of Arts. I liked the idea and that’s how I started attending summer classes. The teacher was very pleased with my voice and since then I continue to sing and perform,” says Diana.

At first he sang in an ensemble that has now ceased its activity and that’s how he ended up at “Purtata Avrigului”. “I also really like folk dance and Purtata Avrigului is right here, from us in the city. It was somewhat natural to join the ensemble, for which I now sing and dance,” Diana confesses.

Her hobbies are dancing and music, but she admits that in her little free time she likes to read and play sports.

The young woman is a student in the 8th grade at the Marșa Technological High School and is intensively preparing for the National Assessment. She wants to go to Pedagogical High School and become a teacher. But her dream is to continue singing and pursue a musical career, to shine on important stages.
