The activity in a town hall ended up being blocked because of a fake news that constantly appears on social networks. According to the “news” in Bruiu commune, the town hall is selling abandoned houses whose price is between two and three thousand lei.

The information is obviously false and was denied at the end of last year by the mayor of the commune, Emil Gherghel, reports Council Tower. Last week, the information resurfaced, and the mayor says he’s bothered because people who call city hall now feel like something is being hidden from them, in fact.

“I saw that these news were distributed again and they started again with emails and phone calls. It bothers me, but if they call me, I answer and explain. It’s worse when he calls the town hall and keeps the people here from working. Now I don’t even understand that it is false information. One is that they don’t understand, but they also accuse us of keeping them to ourselves. They take us and ask us, “why aren’t the prices 3,000 lei?”. They are idiots who simply do not understand what is being said to them. I say that we want to keep them for ourselves, that’s why we tell them that it’s not about any house with 2,000 lei”, says the mayor.
