The Milan International Furniture Fair is the largest international event dedicated to interior design enthusiasts. Every year, the most famous companies present their luxury products to the general public, and, in the case of the latest editions, fashion brands have joined with spectacular pieces for home decoration.
How do we draw direct inspiration from Milan for our home design?
They are very impressive pieces of furniture indeed. You’re certainly spoiled for choice, whatever your tastes, and the pictures speak for themselves in terms of luxury. For example, the Giorgio Armani brand presented, for the second consecutive year, the Armani/Casa collection at Palazzo Orsini in Milan. It was launched in 2000, but now includes furniture, bathrooms, fabrics and more.
Versace presented the new collection located on the 2nd floor of the main headquarters in Via Gesu, Fendi Casa chose the store in Piazza della Scala, and Ralph Lauren opted for the spectacular headquarters in Via San Barnaba. The pictures are very beautiful and can definitely inspire you.
What did this year’s edition bring us and how do we get inspiration for our own homes?
“It was an extraordinary edition, perhaps the largest organized after the pandemic, and this was also due to the fact that many brands outside of design got involved, many fashion companies, to which I can also add many brands of cars, including Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini. They brought out collections of furniture. There was a lot of involvement from the movies as well. .David Lynch set up two pavilions. This edition put a lot of emphasis on sustainability, so most of the materials used are very friendly to nature. There were a lot of new inventions of materials, of all kinds of recycled plastics, a lot of new technologies that emphasize optimal consumption”, said Ada Tache, interior designer.
