According to the information provided by the National Authority for the Protection of Child Rights and Adoption (ANPDCA), the minor will be brought during Monday, accompanied by a psychologist and a team from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Gorj.

The authorities are collaborating for the minor’s repatriation

The case was initially reported by the German authorities, who notified the Romanian Ministry of Justice about the situation of the Romanian minor. Later, the ANPDCA took over the case and took immediate measures for the child’s repatriation, in close collaboration with the authorities in Germany and with the representatives of the Consulate General of Romania in Munich.

Rareș-Petru Achiriloaie, the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Child Rights and Adoption ANPDCA, emphasized that the absolute priority is ensuring the well-being of the child and providing the necessary support to overcome the trauma he went through. the official expressed confidence that the investigation will quickly resolve this shocking case and that those responsible will be brought to justice.

“The absolute priority at this time is to make sure that this child is okay, that he will receive all the support and help from our specialists to overcome this obvious trauma that he has been through. We trust that the investigative bodies will solve this case as soon as possible, in which the facts seem to be downright horrifying, and we trust that those who are guilty will be brought to justice. I thank my colleagues from DGAPSC Gorj, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, respectively the Consulate General of Romania in Munich, for the efficiency with which we collaborated in this case, succeeding together in ensuring that this child is safe, with the full cooperation of the German authorities”. said the president of ANPDCA, Rareş-Petru Achiriloaie, according to Știripesurse.ro.

The siblings of the minor from Gorj are in the care of a foster carer

The investigation in Romania is coordinated by DIICOT, and the authorities are on alert due to suspicions of trafficking in minors. The minor’s siblings, an 8-year-old girl and a 2-year-old and 8-month-old boy, were taken by DGASPC Gorj and are currently under the care of a foster carer.
