The road from the sea to home was longer today for thousands of drivers who traveled on Autostrada Soarelui, because of a truck that overturned in the Fundulea area.

The driver, a Ukrainian citizen, told the police that he had a tire blowout, and at the speed he was going, he lost control of the truck and broke the slide that separates the two directions of travel. The man was trapped in the cabin, but escaped without a scratch.

It was pulled out by firefighters, who struggled for several hours to put the truck back on its wheels, with the help of a crane. For almost four hours, traffic in both directions was restricted, and queues of cars stretched for almost 30 kilometers.
