Before joining the PSD, Florea was a very vocal liberal, just as he was as a social democrat and now as a member of the AUR. In 2009, he was the personal adviser of the hard-working PDL Radu Berceanu and then the vice-president of AVAS, where he was a colleague of Alina Gorghiu, the future president of the PNL.

Aged 51, Daniel Florea is now planning to return to Călăraşi, after representing this county in the period 2012-2016 as a PSD deputy.

He followed a term of mayor in Sector 5 between 2016-2020, also from the PSD, so that the current political adventure caught him at the end of his term as a Bucharest deputy, elected on the lists of the same social democrats and ended on those of the AUR , after initially joining the Republican Party.

“On September 1, 2022, on my father’s birthday, I resigned from the PSD and became an unaffiliated parliamentarian. On November 10, 2023, on my mother’s birthday, I joined the Republican Party”announced deputy Daniel Florea, son of General Gheorghe Florea, former police chief of Constanța and Călăraşi.

Daniel Florea finished law school and served as a judge for two years, then became a lawyer for a few years, then appeared as a judge again for another two years, according to his resume. The politician had a very busy year academically in 2021, when in just a few months he obtained dozens of titles at prestigious universities located thousands of kilometers away from each other.
