Two employees from the Craiova Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges were injured by a Bulgarian driver. A woman died

Serious traffic accident happened on Wednesday afternoon on DN6, in Dolj. Two workers from the Craiova Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges were injured, after the driver of a truck ran into the machine with which they were doing sealing work. As a result of the impact, the van was projected and hit the two workers squarely. One of them, a woman, died on the spot, while the second was seriously injured, writes news.ro.

The tragedy took place on Wednesday afternoon, on DN6, in the town of Răcarii de Sus, Dolj county. At the wheel of the TIR was a Bulgarian driver.

“Police officers from the Filiaşi City Police went to the scene and found that a 68-year-old man, a Bulgarian citizen, while driving a combination of vehicles (TIR) ​​on DN 6, in the town of Răcarii de Sus, due to causes to be determined following the investigations, collided head-on with a van that he designed into two people, a 45-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, who were carrying out work of roadway maintenance, on lane 1”, IPJ Dolj representatives sent.

As a result of the impact, the woman died and the man was seriously injured. According to DRDP Craiova officials, the two were on duty, and the works were signaled according to the law.

“On DN 6, within the radius of the town of Răcari, there was a very, very serious road accident. A lorry traveling on lane 1 hit the light signaling trailer warning traffic participants that work is being carried out in the area of ​​the public road by the employees of the National Roads, pushed the trailer along with the control car, pushed it to 30 meters, hit the machine that was used for filling. He hit two of our colleagues. The works were properly signposted. The employees were accompanied precisely in order not to have such problems by those signaling trailers with luminous arrows, visible from a very long distance”, officials of DRDP Craiova said.

The driver responsible for the accident was tested with the breathalyzer, and the result was negative.
