Romania’s ambassador to the USA, Andrei Muraru, commented on Facebook about the vote in the US Senate, as a result of which Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan receive an international assistance package of 95 billion dollars.

“The $95 billion international aid package that includes Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan was also voted on by the Senate tonight (after the House of Representatives on Saturday)! It should be noted that the vote was overwhelmingly favorable – from both parties. Of the 100-member Senate, 79 senators voted for the international aid package (out of 51 votes needed), while 18 voted against it (15 Republicans and 3 Democrats). Now, the law goes to President Joe Biden, who has promised to sign it into law as early as Wednesday. It’s obviously a big win for Ukraine supporters (most of the support package, almost 61 billion goes to support for Kiev) from both parties. In Moscow, the weather starts to deteriorate from today”Muraru wrote.

The United States on Tuesday adopted a huge package of military and economic assistance for Ukraine, the result of months of extremely tense and laborious negotiations in Congress.
