A tragic scene unfolded on a route in Slovakia, following a serious incident involving a Romanian truck driver. A 34-year-old man died on the spot after his vehicle entered the opposite direction and collided head-on with a TIR registered in Argeș.

The tragic event took place on Monday morning, around 10 o’clock, right between the towns of Ružomberok and Donovaly, in the northern part of the country.
According to the information provided by noviny.sk, the 34-year-old driver, for reasons still unknown, drove a Lada car into the opposite direction of traffic, where he collided head-on with a truck driven by a Romanian citizen.
Following the collision, the car was trapped under the truck, and the driver at the wheel died on the spot. Images from the scene of the tragedy show the extent of the devastation.

The Romanian driver, who was transporting car parts with the TIR, reported that the car suddenly appeared on the opposite side, although it was on a straight section of the road. He tried to avoid the impact, but failed. Unfortunately, the driver of the car had no chance of survival.
The police investigation will determine how the accident occurred
Police cordoned off the area to carry out investigations at the scene and restricted traffic to one lane and traffic became heavy.
“After arriving at the scene of the accident, the car was stuck under the truck. Smoke was coming from the vehicle, so firefighting measures were taken.
There was a person in the car who had no life-threatening injuries.”explained the commander of the intervention, Vladimír Kačník according to the quoted source.
