Tragedy in Italy: Young Romanian, died in a serious car accident on Easter night

The tragic event took place on provincial road 54, near the town of Civitella del Tronto, and it was the devastated family that started the search, terrified by Stefan’s absence.

The lifeless body of the young man was found by an uncle around 10:00 the next morning, who would have been guided by the traces of the violent impact on the parapet of a brick bridge and then in the water below it, according to foreign media.

The tragic image of the Opel Corsa car, which had overturned several times after flying about ten meters from the bridge, was hard to bear for those present. The car was completely destroyed and was found on the bank of the stream, and there was nothing left for Stefan to do.

The cause of the Romanian’s death is unknown

The intervention of the rescuers was not without difficulties, but, with the authorization of the local magistrate, they managed to recover the car and hand over the lifeless body of Ștefan to the authorities for a possible forensic examination, which would establish the cause and exact time of death. The tragic incident is under investigation by the Carabinieri from the station in Civitella del Tronto, and the jurisdiction is provided by the magistrates of Teramo, since the event took place in this part of the region.
