Tree FALLS over two cars! Firefighters continue to act (VIDEO)

--

Two cars parked on Colonel Victor Tomoroveanu street, in Botoșani municipality, were damaged by a tree, uprooted by the strong wind. It happened a little while ago. A crew from the Botoșani Fire Department intervened with a special fire truck, equipped with specific accessories for cutting the tree.

At this moment, Botoșani firefighters are on Prieteniei street in Botoșani municipality, where a piece of sheet metal detached from the roof of a block of flats ended up in a tree. Tenants called for help, worried that the construction element could fall on passers-by. Firefighters intervene with the rescue vehicle from the height to remove the danger.

Another crew is working on Calea Națională, from the county seat municipality, to remove a piece of sheet metal that was detached from the roof of a block of flats and could fall on passers-by.

So far, at the ISU – SAJ Botoșani integrated dispatch center, a total of ten calls have been registered to remove the effects of the strong wind.

We remind you that until 22:00, Botoșani County will be under a Code Yellow meteorological warning of local and temporary wind intensifications, with speeds of 55-65 km/h and, isolated, over 70-80 km/h h.
To prevent emergency situations, we recommend that citizens observe the following measures:
– be cautious when you are on the street and avoid moving in areas with billboards, trees or electricity poles that could be knocked down;
– do not pass by buildings under construction or that have architectural elements that can be blown away by the wind and do not shelter near improvised constructions;
– park cars at a safe distance from trees or electricity poles;
– remove trees or dry branches, which during a storm, could fall and cause casualties or material damage;
– do not touch the wires that have fallen to the ground.

We remind you that, in strong wind conditions, the use of open fire in households is very dangerous and is prohibited. The wind can spread the fire, in a very short time, to buildings, warehouses, forests, electricity networks, etc.
To prevent fires, cigarette butts or matchsticks should not be thrown near haystacks or places where feed, firewood, flammable substances or other combustible materials are stored, or on land with dry vegetation.
Information about how to behave in case of emergency situations or other useful data about the manifestation of dangerous meteorological phenomena can be obtained by accessing the fiipregatit.ro portal or through the DSU application, which can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store and AppStore.
