What was never said about the last hours of Vadim Tudor’s life. His widow, Doina Vadim Tudor, recalled, on Antena 3 CNN, the last day of her husband’s life.

“Corneliu Vadim Tudor was a special man, whom few people really knew. He was my soulmate. He was my other half. We were together for 34 years, of which 28 were married.

He was a cheerful, good-natured man who always left his problems at the door, a loving father, a good family man. He loved his country to the point of exhaustion, I might say. So he would have done anything for his people,” said Doina Vadim Tudor on “Sinteza zilei cu Mihai Gâdea”.

“He was a great orator. He was able to gather 5,000 people in 15 minutes and talk to them for two days, two nights, without interruption. He was a writer, he has a lot, he has 34 books written, he wrote a screenplay of television, wrote plays, wrote sports chronicles, was a sociologist, journalist. (…)

In my opinion and in the opinion of several people, no one will be able to imitate him”, she opined.

“He looked like a tough man, but he wasn’t. He was very angry.”

“He was a good father, a convinced family man. He was a good husband, he was romantic, so he satisfied all our desires.

Until the moment he died, and I want to tell you that then it was as if something hit us in the head, a meteorite, I don’t know, we didn’t wake up for several years from this shock,” she added.

Doina Vadim Tudor recalled the last day of her husband’s life: “Today is my last day. Mother, I am coming to you”

“In 2015, on the morning of September 14, he wrote all night in Romania Mare. He arranged his newspaper and it was 4:00 and he said to me: “Doina, look, I went to the bathroom and I heard the cuckoo”. And I said I don’t know, it’s not possible, where was the bump coming from (…). He felt bad, it hurt, he had a claw here in his chest, towards his neck, towards his hand, and I said let’s go to the hospital. (…) To the hospital he didn’t want to, so at 7:00 a.m. he called 911 himself because he had no more air, he was suffocating. And I went down with him. Me and Lidia, Jeni, the youngest, stayed at home. And he stopped right next to the doors. I left in the car that was at the gate with his guards. Rescue was coming on the way, but we couldn’t wait any longer because he was very bad, he was suffocating, he had no air.

He stopped at the door, stretched out his arms and said “Lord, Jesus, today is my last day. Mother, I come to you”.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor died at the age of 65.

He was buried with military honors at the Ghencea Civil Cemetery, with thousands of people attending the funeral ceremony.
