AUR’s governing program promises houses for one lion and paradise islands in the Black Sea, like Dubai

AUR promises the Romanians, in a government program made up of 15 points, “houses for 1 leu”, tax exemptions for families with several children, and artificial islands and peninsulas in the Black Sea, like in Dubai.

Subsidies increased by 100% for some agricultural holdings

AUR has published its governance program, made up of 15 points, in which it presents a series of measures in “the interest of the Romanians”. For example, in the section “Romania – Country of agriculture and tourism”it is shown that our country “can feed the whole of Europe and could be an important destination for tourists”.

“Unfortunately, we do not even manage to secure our domestic food needs, nor do we enjoy what we have in the country. That is why concrete measures must be taken”says AUR.

Subsidies granted to agricultural holdings with areas of less than 500 hectares will be increased by 100%, the production of tractors and agricultural equipment will be supported and there will be investments in the food industry sector, according to the program.

Islands in the Black Sea, “like in Dubai”

AUR promises to attract non-reimbursable or reimbursable financing, with state-subsidized interest, for Romanian tourism and for investment in leisure or treatment facilities.

“We support the creation of artificial islands and peninsulas by accepting private investments in the Black Sea area (such as in Dubai)”, can be read in the governance program of the AUR. Vacation vouchers will also be granted to the private sector, but with the condition of limiting the periods of application by excluding busy periods, the program states.

At the section “The revival of the Romanian village and the peasant household”AUR shows that it supports the repopulation of villages through “restoration of critical rural infrastructure (irrigation, land management, roads, vegetable and fruit warehouses); development of the main components of the rural infrastructure, which will have a direct impact on the quality of life; the reopening of the fairs for the sale of local goods”.

“Houses for 1 leu” program

Implementation of the “Houses for 1 leu” Program for young people from Romania and Romanians from the diaspora who want to return to the country. Providing housing, financial incentives and providing transport for teachers, doctors, nurses and policemen who want to work in rural areas”.

At the section “Valorization of natural resources and strategic companies”the AUR supports the creation of a Sovereign Investment Fund that will be responsible for managing Romania’s natural resources, placing the collected sums in low-risk investments outside the country, covering the pension fund deficit from the earnings obtained and investing in key areas of national interest.

The Norwegian model

The Sovereign Investment Fund will be organized in the form of a “state fund that can be capitalized from Romanian taxpayers’ money, allowing them to become shareholders”. The financial resource produced by each individual wealth will be publicly highlighted, day by day, as part of the Norwegian-style Sovereign Investment Fund”according to the AUR program.

At the section “Stopping the demographic decline – encouraging the birth rate and the family”AUR wants to launch a National Plan for Family Protection, extended over 20 years.

AUR provides for the granting of loans with subsidized interest and state guarantees to families with three or more children for the purchase of housing. Next, granting subsidized interest loans of up to 10,000 euros for the purchase of a new vehicle to families with three or more minor children.

Tax breaks for families with many children

“We exempt families with three or more children from tax on motor vehicles, land and houses, provided that the total value of the properties does not exceed 500,000 lei. For each minor child in a family, we increase the allowance to ¼ of the salary value minimum on the economy“say those from AUR.

At the same time, “families with four or more children will benefit from state housing with zero rent if at least one parent works. Until the moment when the number of housing units owned by the state will be sufficient for these situations, the payment of rents will be ensured from the state budget”according to the governance program of the AUR.
