An engineer with extensive experience in the field of building constructions who, throughout his career, has carried out and implemented hundreds of projects in several counties of the country, Ciprian Blejan, the AUR candidate for the presidency of the Bihor County Council, has demonstrated that he has exceptional managerial skills and an ability to complete complex projects. Coordination of a county means, however, something else than building works, he says.
The AUR candidate for the presidency of the Bihor County Council draws attention to the fact that Bihor is facing a frightening problem, completely ignored by the local administration. While the heads of the county talk about roads, belts and millions spent on asphalt and concrete, Bihor is under the siege of drugs, a problem that destroys lives, seriously affects families and local communities.
“It is a disturbing reality, and ignoring this problem only worsens the situation. Only last year, 1,054 of the more than 1,500 files investigated by DIICOT Oradea prosecutors concerned drug trafficking crimes. The involvement of the local authority is needed, which pretends not to see what is happening”, says Ciprian Blejan, AUR candidate for the presidency of CJ Bihor, drawing attention to the fact that drugs have already reached schools, disrupting the life of the community.
We ignore reality!
Children are trapped by traffickers at ever younger ages, they become addicted to substances that affect their mental and physical health, destroying lives and families. Consumers become socially isolated, lose ties with friends, family, develop toxic relationships, self-destruct.
“The number of acts of violence and vandalism has increased and, believe it or not, 90% of these acts are the consequences of this scourge. It is a complex problem that affects us all and, as such, we must all make efforts, find solutions”, says AUR candidate for the presidency CJ Bihor.
We want roads, but our children are dying!
Although the situation degenerated over time, becoming a chronic problem, until now the county administration preferred to ignore it. We have projects for roads and belts worth millions of euros, where drugged drivers kill people. The county administration showed criminal inaction. Prevention and education programs are inadequate, there is a complete lack of collaboration with civil society and government institutions responsible for combating trafficking, which do not have efficient human and logistical resources.
“Public administrations must pay proper attention to this problem”, believes Ciprian Blejan.
The solutions?
Bihor County first of all needs centers with qualified staff and efficient logistics for treating minor and adult consumers alike, where victims can benefit from medical, psychological and social support, educational and professional training opportunities.
“Along with non-governmental organizations and the private sector, the Bihor County Council must be actively involved in finding solutions for the establishment and financing of these centers, for the development of effective prevention programs, to combat trafficking, starting from the protection of educational institutions and areas frequented by children and young people. A general mobilization of public authorities, civil society and citizens is necessary to combat this scourge that destroys lives and seriously affects the future of our county. Only through involvement and concrete action will we be able to save Bihor from under the siege of drugs!”, claims Ciprian Blejan, AUR candidate for the presidency of the CJ Bihor.
