A woman died and five other people are seriously injured, following a violent accident that happened this morning, in Dolj. Two cars collided, and shortly after the impact, one of them caught fire.

Diana Speretoiu, Observer reporter: The five people injured in the accident were transported to the Emergency County Hospital in Craiova. They are conscious, but have more trauma. The accident happened on a county road from Dolj, at the exit from Bucovăț town. After the impact, one of the cars caught fire. Two people were in the car engulfed in flames, but luckily they managed to get out in time. There were four people in the other car. A 35-year-old woman was trapped between the car’s wheels. The intervention of the fire brigade was needed after the release. The woman was resuscitated for tens of minutes, but to no avail, and the medical personnel had to declare death.
