Huawei announced a new event yesterday, this time scheduled for May 7. Some thought it would mark the debut of the Huawei Pura 70 series, but actually… it’s about something else. It’s about tablets and watches.
The Huawei event takes place in Dubai on May 7, and the company will present wearables, MateBook laptops and MatePad tablets. The poster didn’t say anything about smartphones though. Sources and rumors say, however, that we will see a Huawei Watch Fit 3, a hybrid between a watch and a fitness bracelet, which brings with it the Apple Watch, especially since it has a rotating crown button colored red.
It would also get new fitness features and even some nutrition-related ones, plus a sports guide. Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 will also be presented in the same session, this being a laptop of only 980 grams, which is already sold in China. It impresses with its power in such a small format, having an Intel Ultra 9 processor. It is 80% faster than what I was getting on a Core i7 Gen 13.
As for tablets, we don’t know much yet. It’s also strange that we still don’t have a release date for the Huawei Pura 70 series globally or in Europe.
