The Honor 200 Lite 5G has been officially unveiled in France, and is the first model of the Honor 200 series to hit the market. It seems that this model is not exactly a 100% original device, but rather a rebranding for the western market of the Honor X50i, already launched in China. The flagship Honor 200 series, however, is expected in the next few weeks with superior specifications.
Honor 200 Lite is one of the lightest mid-range phones
We already knew about the existence of the Honor 200 Lite, but knew next to nothing about its internal hardware. We are dealing with a mid-range smartphone with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. As we’ve become accustomed to over the past few years, Honor also boasts the ability to add up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM for a maximum of 16 (8+8).
The phone has a 6.7″ screen with an AMOLED panel. It displays a Full HD+ resolution (2,412 x 1,080 pixels) and, like other screens used by Honor in recent years, is TUV Rheinland certified for anti-flicker. The phone is extremely light, at only 166 grams, probably due to the plastic construction, but also to the fact that it includes a smaller battery than we are used to recently, with a capacity of 4,500 mAh.
The camera system is based on a 108 megapixel main sensor and also benefits from a 5 megapixel secondary camera with an ultrawide lens, but also a 2 megapixel macro camera. On the front we see something unusual, however: a 50-megapixel camera for selfies with 2D facial recognition.
The phone is currently launching in France at the price of 329 euros, but it will surely come to other countries in Europe in the coming weeks. The launch campaign also includes a bundled Honor Band 9, as well as the Honor Earbuds X5 headphones.
