On the occasion of the Google I/O 2024 conference, the new version of the Pixel smartphone, the 8a model, is already making waves ahead of its official launch, thanks to an unofficial video presentation that confirms its most important specifications.
Despite the anticipated excitement, a less pleasant aspect is represented by the launch price, which will be significantly higher compared to the previous model, the Pixel 7a.
Information from retailers indicates a starting price for the Pixel 8a of $549 for the base model, up from $499 for the Pixel 7a. In Europe, the situation is even more expensive, with a starting price of EUR 569.9, and for a higher version it reaches EUR 630.
What technical specifications does the Pixel 8A come with
In addition to these details, the Pixel 8a comes with some significant improvements. The battery capacity is increased to 4750mAh, compared to 4385mAh in the previous model, which will support a new Tensor G3 chipset and a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. The phone also includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, writes 91 Mobiles.
On the photo/video side, the Pixel 8a comes with a 64MP main camera with optical stabilization and a 13MP ultrawide camera. The front camera remains at 13MP resolution, similar to the previous model, with possible improvements in image quality.
