Motorola is gearing up to launch at least one new smartphone, the Edge 50 Pro, in India on April 3. Although it might initially be available only in the Indian market, a global launch might follow soon.

According to recently published information, the Edge 50 Pro version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage space will be available at a price of 864.99 euros in online stores in Italy, according to a listing that appeared there.
Features and Design
Motorola seems to be banking on a sleek design and top features to justify the Edge 50 Pro’s high price, even if the performance won’t be as good as a flagship, thanks to the use of the mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
Motorola has extended its partnership with color specialist Pantone for the Edge 50 Pro. In addition to the colors chosen together with Pantone, the Edge 50 Pro will be the first smartphone with the screen and camera validated for color accuracy by Pantone.
Available colors are:
- Black and purple with a vegan leather finish
- Silver with pearl pattern, the finish being handmade in Italy
The Edge 50 Pro will have a 6.7-inch curved pOLED screen, 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2000 nits brightness. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and supports HDR10+. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and has an integrated fingerprint reader.
Regarding the rooms, we have:

- Ultra-wide camera 13MP and macro 13MP
- Tele camera with OIS and 30x hybrid zoom (13-73mm equivalent)

The cameras benefit from AI technologies such as continuous focus, adaptive stabilization and Tilt mode, as well as color validation by Pantone, including skin tones.

According to the information, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in the 12/512GB version will cost 864.99 euros in Europe. A premium price justified by the elegant design, screen and top cameras, even if the performance will not be at the level of a true flagship.
