Atalanta Bergamo and Bayer Leverkusen will play the Europa League football final, after the positive results achieved on Thursday evening, at home, in the second leg of the semifinals.
Atalanta beat Olympique Marseille by forfeit, 3-0, with goals scored by Ademola Lookman (30), Matteo Ruggeri (52), El Bilal Toure (90+5).
The score had been tied at the Stade Velodrome, 1-1.
Atalanta also had two bars, through Charles De Ketelaere (6) and Gianluca Scamacca (24), and OM one, through Jordan Veretout (63).
Marseille played in the final of the competition three times (1999, 2004 and 2018), losing each time.

AS Roma came close to ending their opponents Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run at home, but in the end the match ended in a draw.
Bayer prevailed 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, but were led home 2-0, thanks to a double by Argentinian Leandro Paredes (43 – penalty, 66 – penalty). The hopes of the Giallorossa team to send the match to extra time were dashed in the min. 82, when Gianluca Mancini scored in his own goal. Bayer managed to avoid defeat, equalizing in the last seconds through Josip Stanisic (90+7).
The team coached by Xabi Alonso thus reached 49 consecutive matches without defeat this season in all competitions.
Bayer had a bar at 0-0, through Exequiel Palacios (29).
AS Roma were last year’s finalists, when they were defeated by Sevilla in penalty kicks.
The final will take place on May 22, at the Dublin Arena.
