On Monday evening, in New York, the event of the year, the Met Gala, took place. Opportunity for Hollywood stars to meet. Among the big names in attendance were the legendary Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
The three big players met at the Met Gala and turned heads with their outfits. And they also provided a funny moment. Although they did not have a good relationship on the circuit, Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams had fun at the event.

It all started with Sharapova. The Russian met Venus and wanted to take a picture with her sister Serena as well. And Maria and Venus filmed themselves looking for Serena.
“Where’s Serena? Serena, where are you? We find you. We will find her” says Sharapova. Later, the roles changed a bit. Maria found Serena, but Venus was no longer with her.
“Venus, I found Serena. Look at it here. Where are you, Venus? Hey. We’re having fun without you,” Sharapova says, while Serena says, “Venus, where are you. I was looking for you”.
Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams never had a close relationship when they were players.
The first took place in 2004, in the final of the London Grand Slam. Sharapova prevailed then 6-1, 6-4, and provoked an uncontrollable reaction from the American, as Maria reveals in her autobiographical book: “I think Serena hated me because I was a skinny girl, who spoiled her aura, who defeated -against all odds, in the Wimbledon final. I heard Serena tell a friend, “I will never lose to that bitch again!”
