Laurentiu Reghecampf (48 years old) can return to the SuperLiga from next season, at “U” Cluj.

There are chances that Ioan Ovidiu Sabău will leave Transylvania in the summer, and the management of “U” Cluj has started looking for his replacement.

The first name on the list was that of Marius Șumudică, coach free of contract since March, when he parted ways with Gaziantep, who, however, conveyed that he is not interested in taking over “U” Cluj.

The leadership of the Transylvanian club immediately turned its attention to Laurentiu Reghecampf, also free, after an unsuccessful experience in Saudi Arabia, at Al-Tai, with whom he parted ways in April.

According to Iamsport, the bosses of “U” Cluj have already had a round of discussions with Laurențiu Reghecampf, but, at least for now, no finality has been reached. Very likely, other rounds of negotiations will follow.

For now, Laurentiu Reghecampf he does not have the right to coach in the Super League. The former champion with FCSB was suspended after a dispute with the Committees with the University of Craiova, to which the club must pay 300,000 euros.

The technician remained in debt after “breaking” the contract with Craiova University in September of last year, in order to go to Al-Tai. Laurentiu Reghecampf he has already paid 100,000 euros and, most likely, he is going to pay the rest.
