The press in Germany recently wrote about the possible move of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) to Mercedes, and the triple world champion commented on these rumors before the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami.

Max Verstappen says his future is at Red Bull but ‘never say never’

The Dutch driver appeared to want to end speculation by saying his future was at Red Bull, but ended his speech by saying “you never know what life has in store for you”.

Verstappen stated that “not even 250 million euros” would tempt him to leave Red Bull (Mercedes would have prepared a salary of 150 million euros per season) and specified that the most important thing for him “it’s the performance” on the circuit.

At the moment, the single-seater of the Austrian team has no rival in Formula 1. If everything goes according to calculations, Verstappen will have four world titles by the end of the year (he would equal Sebastian Vettel).

“My future is at Red Bull. Money will not be a differentiator for me. Even 250 million euros would not be enough, I am happy with what I earn now.

It’s about performance. Always. At this point, I can say that I want to stay with the team because I believe in the project that we have.

But at the end of the day, in sports, but also in life, you never know what will happen in the future. I think it’s very important to stay calm and always focus on your work.

At the end of the day, we have to have the fastest car. That’s what I’ve always asked for. So basically everything remains as it was before.

Right now, everyone is very focused on what we have to do. It helps a lot that we manage to win races” – Max Verstappenquoted by Reuters.

The Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, May 5, from 23:00 (Romanian time). The race can be watched live on Antena 3 CNN.
