Ronnie O’Sullivan: “Stuart Bingham was the better player in all aspects”

Ronnie O’Sullivan missed out on his 8th world snooker title after being knocked out in the quarter-finals by Stuart Bingham.

“The Rocket” explained that his opponent was on top of him in every department, but he also discussed the upcoming tournaments he is going to participate in.

“There were a lot of wins last season where I didn’t enjoy the snooker. It was good progress. I just lost a snooker match. Stuart Bingham played very well, he deserved the win. I tried to hang on as long as I could, but it was not to be.

You have to adapt, and Stuart adapted better than I did to the playing conditions. He was the best player in all chapters. I tried to stay close and make him work for the win.

(you won’t be back, for sure.) Why not? Why not 10 championships? I’m going to China next week. I will be playing against Ding Junhui in a series of Challenge matches. I have a lot of snooker to play, can’t wait to go to China. We’ll see which tournaments I play in from now on.

I’ll be a happy player. (how long will UK fans see you?) I have contracts to play in certain tournaments. I also have contracts for demonstration matches in China. I will honor all commitments. If I have time for other tournaments, of course I will participate. I’ve had a really good season and I’m looking forward to the next events.” – he said, according to Eurosport.
