Returning to the WTA Miami after more than a year and a half, Simona Halep missed the Oeiras and WTA Madrid tournaments due to an injury.

Before Roland Garros, the former world leader will benefit from a wild card at the Clarins Trophy, according to Tennisactu.net.

The “WTA 125” category tournament will bring together several Top 50 players, including Emma Navarro, Sloane Stephens, Katie Boulter or Leylah Fernandez.

The Clarins Trophy will be contested between May 13-19, is part of the WTA 125 category, is played on clay and offers total prizes worth 115,000 euros. The titular champion is Diane Parry.
