“Of course it wasn’t right!”

In the 60th minute of Lighthouse – Fast, with the score 1-1, Bogdan Lobonț moved into the offensive, replacing Ermal Krasniqi with Funsho Bamgboye. The Kosovar didn’t take the change well, refusing the coach’s attempt to hug him as he left the pitch.

The tense moment, captured by the cameras, was intensely commented. Now came the official position of the management, expressed by the minority shareholder Victor Angelescu. He announced that the footballer was fined.

“We have taken a disciplinary measure, but we are not disclosing it to the media. Of course it wasn’t right, but these things happen in football. It happened 10 times worse with Salah with Klopp and others.

I know Krasniqi very well, he is not a problematic player, he did not cause us problems in the dressing room. He trains exemplary, he is always among the first 2-3 in training.

He was angry, he had a reaction of frustration. I talked to him, he understood, he had a small fine, according to internal order regulations. But I repeat, he is not a player who creates problems”, announced Angelescu on the show “Footbal Club”, on DigiSport.

I spoke with Krasniqi. It depends from which perspective you look at it. Maybe you see it from the perspective of the commentator, the one who doesn’t know the dynamics that are in the cabin. Ermal and I know what happened, both his gesture and what followed. What I had to clarify with him I did both after the game and the next day.

About Paul Iacob, who got into a fight with a spectator who cursed him, Angelescu said that “as far as I understand, some supporters don’t have the most appropriate language. You can see, it was very frustrating. It’s not normal for him to react this way, we’ll see. We need to identify who was involved, how it was. We will investigate very well and we will see in the coming days what measures we will take”.

Regarding captain Cristian Săpunaru, who ignored Lobonț when he tried to lift him off the pitch after the final whistle, Angelescu commented:

“Săpunaru and Lobonț have known each other for a very long time, they know each other very well. Everyone was down, I was in the dressing room and I saw. Lobonț tried to be positive, I understand him, but it’s hard to lift their spirits. I can’t say he was wrong.

Maybe with more experience he wouldn’t have done that. In those moments the players are not in the best mental shape, 1-2 minutes after they lost in the last phase. Lobonț did a good thing, he thought he was doing good. Things like this still happen, people were very frustrated…”.
