CS Dinamo Bucharest achieved a spectacular qualification in the semifinals of the EHF European League men’s handball competition, after defeating the Danish team Skjern Handbold away from home, with a score of 38-34 (20-12), on Tuesday evening, in the second leg of the quarters of the final.

Dinamo also won the first leg, from Bucharest, with 28-27.

The Romanian champion played an exceptional first half and led at halftime with 20-12. The Danes played better after the break and managed to get closer on the scoreboard, but not by less than three goals (33-36), Dinamo winning 38-34. Dinamo managed to resist in the second half even though it lost its best defender, Robert Militaru being disqualified in the min. 19.

For the team coached by Xavi Pascual, Ante Kuduz scored 8 goals, Luca Cindric 7, Lazar Kukic 7, Călin Dedu 4, Miklos Rosta 3, Andrii Akimenko 3, Nicusor Negru 2, Stanislav Kasparek 2, Viaceslav Bohan 1, Alin Zein 1.

Goalkeeper Vladimir Cupara finished with 11 interventions (28.21%).

The hosts’ goals were scored by Noah Theo Anthony Gaudin 10, Viktor Siersbaek Bergholt 4, Lasse Reinhold Mikkelsen 4, Emil Siersbaek Bergholt 3, Joaquim Rebelo Vila Nova Nazare 3, Jakob Rasmussen 3, Rene Aas Jansen Rasmussen 3, Senjamin Buric 2, Mads Bjergfelt 2.

Christoffer Hoffmann Bonde had 9 interventions (24.32%), and Tim Legaard Duus Winkler 2 (22.22%).

The match was refereed by the Austrians Denis Bolic and Christoph Hurich, and the EHF delegate was the Swede Henrik Maekinen.

The Final Four tournament of the EHF European League will take place on May 25 and 26, in Hamburg.
