Dan Petrescu, officially presented at CFR Cluj: “Dane, do another miracle!”

As of today, Dan Petrescu is officially the coach of CFR Cluj. Even though the agreement concluded with the Transylvanian club had been known for several weeks, the official announcement was only made on Tuesday, April 30.

To mark the moment, the representatives of CFR Cluj published on social networks a presentation clip in which a fan of the team displays the message: “Dane, do another miracle!”

A few seconds later, the coach appears in the video to announce his return: “I’m back home. Enough talk, now to work!”

“Bursucul” signed a contract that will come into force on June 1, but his work at the Transylvanian formation has already begun, the technician wanting to take over a team qualified in European cups.

He is already present at the team’s training and even if he does not have the right to sit on the technical bench in official matches, he oversees everything that happens in the club, deciding which players will stay from the summer and which positions need to be strengthened.

“I will also see the players at training, to form a clearer opinion. In my opinion, all players must know that no one has the job guaranteed.

“At the same time, those who finish the contract should not think that I am not even thinking of signing them, if they really prove that they want to play at CFR.

“This is very important, for the players to prove to me in these three matches that they want to stay at CFR”Dan Petrescu said in an interview for the club’s official website.

Petrescu will continue the collaboration with Ovidiu Hoban, the current interim, but will also (re)bring Valeriu Bordeianu and Bogdan Aldea to the team from Gruia, his key players from recent years.
