FCSB rejoices, Steaua ends the championship on its knees and without spectators

CSA Steaua plays in the play-out of the second league, in a desolate atmosphere at every match. However, the fans who stayed with Steaua they did it to bring a sanction to the club.

The Disciplinary Commission of the Romanian Football Federation sanctioned the CSA Steaua club with the playing of two matches without spectators and a sports penalty of almost 17,000 lei for the incidents caused by the supporters in the match with Viitorul Pandurii Târgu Jiu in the first stage of the play-out Second League, it is mentioned on the official website of the FRF.

“ACS Viitorul Pandurii Tg. Jiu – CSA Steaua – Pursuant to art. 54.2 and 4 in conjunction with art. 82.2 of the RD of the FRF, the CSA Steaua club is sanctioned with the measure of scheduling the next 2 (two) games without spectators and a penalty of 16,875 lei” , it is specified in the commission’s solution.

The case of the CSA Steaua formation was framed by the commission members under Article 54, which provides for sanctions in case supporters display inscriptions containing “discriminatory/derogatory/racist/xenophobic slogans or are guilty of other such behavior at a game”.

Following the sanction, CSA Steaua will play without spectators the home match against Concordia Chiajna, scheduled for May 11, in the last stage of the II League play-out, as well as the first game of the following season.

Also, the Disciplinary Commission sanctioned the clubs Corvinul Hunedoara and CFR Cluj for the incidents caused by the fans during the direct match in the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup (4-0).

Thus, for organizational deficiencies and the lighting of pyrotechnic materials by their own supporters, the second division team Corvinul Hunedoara received sports penalties of 10,000 and 5,000 lei. According to the Disciplinary Regulation, Corvinul will execute the most serious sanction, namely a penalty of 10,000 lei.
