At the moment, the Montenegrin defender was receiving a monthly salary of 11,000 euros, and he had recently threatened live on TV that he wanted to leave the team. The footballer’s frustration was a consequence of the fact that he had not received a more advantageous extension offer from Gigi Becali until that date.
Shortly after, the leaders of the new champions of Romania reacted and realized that the Montenegrin international, one of the leaders of the red-blue locker room and perhaps the team’s most consistent player in recent seasons, is not a player to lose and they sent, through his manager, the extension offer with a monthly salary of 15,000 euros.
