Thus, out of the 8 wild cards available at the Internazionali BNL in Rome, 6 have already been offered to tennis players from Italy: Martina Trevisan (76 WTA), Sara Errani (100), Lucrezia Stefanini (159), Giorgia Pedone ( 276), Nuria Brancaccio (292) and Matilde Paoletti (642).
As a result, there are only two available spots left, for which several important players in the circuit are competing, who do not have the necessary ranking to enter the main draw.
In addition to Simona Halep, players such as Emma Răducanu, Caroline Wozniacki or Angelique Kerber await a wild card in Rome, a complicated situation for the athlete from Romania.
