The Ministry of Agriculture will start paying the subsidy to farmers: 100 euros/hectare, respectively 100 euros/UVM for pigs and poultry

The payment of the subsidy of 100 euros/hectare for the plant sector in the Ukraine crisis framework, respectively 100 euros/UVM equivalent for the pig and poultry sectors for the production capacity under minimum welfare conditions, will start around May 15, he announced, on Thursday, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR).

“As we promised, farmers will receive 100 euros/hectare, respectively 100 euros for UVM for pigs and poultry. Farmers will receive this money even if the initially estimated ceiling for compensation payments will be exceeded. In this sense, we are considering a supplement to the budget, to ensure the amount of 100 euros to all eligible beneficiaries”, said the Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu.

He established with the management team of MADR and the Payments and Intervention Agency for Agriculture (APIA) that the target to start these payments is May 15.

The county centers of the Payment Agency for Intervention in Agriculture will make the payments to all eligible beneficiaries, immediately after the approval of the necessary budget supplement.
