The first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 smartphone debuts in October

Xiaomi is setting the stage for an exciting tech autumn by hinting at the launch of the Xiaomi 15 series in October, the first phone with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 technology. It’s a logical step for Xiaomi, which is asserting itself as a key player in the smartphone industry.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4with the code name SM8750, comes with a set of significant improvements: it’s built on Oryon architecture, different from traditional ARM designs, and manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. It promises up to 40% better performance than previous generations, while optimizing energy consumption.

From a technological point of view, Xiaomi 15 will integrate an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor directly into the screen, more accurate and secure than optical variants. Also, the phone will have satellite communication capability, guaranteeing connection even in the most isolated places. Last but not least, the Xiaomi 15 promises an advanced set of cameras, including a periscope lens for top-notch zoom, without compromising the phone’s slim design.
