- Clotilde Armand reacted, in a post on Facebook, where she said that it is “an embarrassing case, opened to the complaint of Dan Tudorache, with ridiculous accusations, in which they invented a damage of 3,000 euros”.
Clotilde Armand was sent to court for committing the crime of using her position to favor some people, the prosecutors said in a statement.
According to the investigators, between May 2022 and August 2022, as the Mayor of Sector 1 in the Municipality of Bucharest, he appointed himself project manager with European funds.
Prosecutors claim that Mayor Clotilde Armand “issued four orders that produced material benefits for herself, benefiting from increases in monthly allowances totaling 18,720 lei (gross income)”.
- “On 06.05.2022 issued Provision no. 1708/06.05.2022 by which, for the time worked in April 2022 within the project management team MySMIS code 152134, SIPOCA code 1151, he increased his monthly allowance for April 2022 by the amount of 3,744 lei, from which he received the amount of 2,191 lei in the personal account, the difference of 1,533 lei representing taxes and contributions, being withheld and transferred by the employer to the state budget.
- On 07.06.2022 issued Decision no. 2156/07.06.2022 by which, for the time worked in May 2022 within the project management team MySMIS code 152134, SIPOCA code 1151, he increased his monthly allowance for May 2022 by the amount of 5,616 lei, from which he received the amount of 3,285 lei in the personal account, the difference of 2,331 lei representing taxes and contributions, being withheld and transferred by the employer to the state budget.
- On 07.05.2022, he issued Provision no. 2517/05.07.2022 by which, for the time worked in June 2022 within the project management team MySMIS code 152134, SIPOCA code 1151, he increased his monthly allowance for June 2022 by the amount of 3,744 lei, from which he received the amount of 2,191 lei in the personal account, the difference of 1,533 lei representing taxes and contributions, being withheld and transferred by the employer to the state budget.

Clotilde Armand’s reaction
Clotilde Arman reacted, in a post on Facebook, stating that she found out about the referral to court a few hours after she submitted her candidacy for a new term at the District 1 City Hall.
“A few hours ago I announced my candidacy for a new mandate at the District 1 City Hall and submitted my candidacy to the Electoral Office. I told Ciolacu that Alianța Dreapta Unită will send him back to his pretzel. 2 hours later I found out on TV that I was sent to court because I implemented an anti-corruption program in the local administration,” Clotilde Armand said.

“A file in which Marcel Ciolacu changed 4 prosecutors until he found one from the province that he advanced to investigate me, not to mention the current prime minister attacks the independence of the judiciary at every public appearance, and Alina Gorghiu became the tool of the PSD in the demolition of the judiciary . On March 11, Clotilde Armand announced that the Prosecutor’s Office of the 1st District Court had changed her status from suspect to defendant in this case in which ANI accused her of incompatibility.
In November 2022, Clotilde Armand was accused by the National Integrity Agency of being in an administrative conflict of interest because she obtained 18,720 lei after “appointing herself” manager of a project financed by European funds.
On November 7, 2022, ANI announced that it notified the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice because, between February and August 2022, Clotilde Armand signed 5 dispositions that brought her extra income.
