Mădălin Ungureanu, the mayor of Bălești, says that three contracts have already been signed with investors for the industrial park in the commune.

Initially, around 150 jobs will be created.

The first hires would be made by the end of this year.

“We also received financing for the gas pipeline. Together with our neighbors from the commune of Arcani and the commune of Runcu, we will proceed to the auction of the work. With the tender for the work out, we’ll see if we go to sign the contract at the Ministry of Development. We have an extraordinarily beautiful story with the industrial park. So far I have signed about three surface contracts with three big investors and I will not give their names yet. We will manage to create at least 150 jobs in the first phase. The project implementation period is somewhere from six months to a year. Most of the investors who came are on the Just Transition Program, they have a very high score, so there is no problem of losing those funds. In my opinion. by the end of the year we will be able to see the first jobs in the industrial park”, says Mădălin Ungureanu for Radio Infinit.
