The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Cpt. Dumitru Croitoru” of Sibiu county is one of the inspectorates that has a team of divers currently consisting of three certified divers. Considering the fact that the divers’ mission is a difficult one, the need to equip them with complete and compliant equipment is of particular importance, as it significantly contributes to the success of a mission.

Thus, following the purchase made by the Sibiu County Council, starting today, Sibiu divers have been equipped with three diving sets, each equipped with three types of suits and other accessories, respectively:

  • wetsuit – used in underwater search and rescue missions in waters with temperatures below 10 degrees
  • two-piece wetsuit – used for underwater search and rescue missions in waters above 10 degrees
  • summer wetsuit – used for diving in warm water, especially for training
  • dry diving suit
  • diving console
  • diving vest
  • diving mask
  • ballast belt
  • diving gloves
  • pressure regulator

“These diving kits equipped with different types of diving suits and other state-of-the-art accessories do nothing but enhance the effectiveness of divers in underwater missions. Given that the last investment in diver suits was made approximately 8 years ago, with the wear and tear of existing suits making missions difficult, this investment is all the more beneficial and appreciated. In this way, we thank the Sibiu County Council for supporting and supporting our efforts to ensure a prompt and efficient response to various emergency situations.” reports the chief inspector of ISU Sibiu, Lieutenant-Colonel Trefaș Lucian.

The three complete with diving equipment purchased by the Sibiu County Council and included in the endowment of ISU Sibiu had a purchase price of approximately 35,000 lei.
