Timişora City Hall managed to recover another piece of land. It was located near the market in Badea Cârţan, and the person who occupied it illegally charged a parking fee, after fencing the land.
A parking lot will be set up on the reclaimed land, Mayor Dominic Fritz announced.
“Do you know the fenced, “private” parking lot near the square in Badea Cârțan? It’s actually public domain. We bulldozed in, knocked down the fences and now we’re with the SDM teams setting up parking spaces for everyone. The owner of the house next to the market thought to fence the land of over 500 square meters and ask money from those who needed to leave their car somewhere to do their shopping.” Dominic Fritz reported.
Fritz does not miss the opportunity to send some arrows to his predecessor, who closed his eyes to such problems.
“Normally, nobody saw anything in the Robu administration. Nobody knew anything. We do detective work, take case by case and do justice. We are reclaiming not only land, but also the dignity of the city. Timișoara has entered a new era, in which theft is no longer the norm and clans can no longer “buy you too”. In a few days, those who come to the market or church will have new parking spaces on the land near Badea Cârțan. On June 9, we have to keep Timișoara on this path, we don’t go back to the one we experienced with our eyes closed”, Fritz also said.
