In Sălaj, one teacher out of five is a substitute
Teachers who wish to work in education with employment contracts for an indefinite period, starting from the next school year, can register for the Titularization exam between May 8 and 17. According to the calendar, the written test for teaching positions will take place on July 17. Practical/oral tests and special classroom inspections will take place between 29 May and 28 June.
For this year, the Ministry of Education has proposed zero tolerance, so teachers who copy or try to copy in the written exam of the Titularization will be punished more severely. Those who are caught will no longer be able to sign contracts with educational institutions.
At the moment, at the level of Sălaj county, there are 2,119 teachers employed for an indefinite period and 589 substitutes.
In last year’s Titularization exam, only 46.98% of the candidates managed to get a passing grade, i.e. a minimum of 7. Out of the 415 candidates, 2 had their papers canceled in the Assessment Centers in the country. 413 candidates remained, of which only 195 obtained marks between 7 and 9.90.
For permanent employment (tenure), candidates must obtain at least grade 7 in the written test. For fixed-term (replacement) employment, candidates must obtain at least grade 5.
