It was a mini-vacation sprinkled with everything. This is what the conclusions presented by the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Dobrogea” of Constanța county show. From road accidents and fires to first aid, it is certain that the emergency number 112 was called hundreds of times during the few days off.
Between May 1-7, the military firefighters from the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Dobrogea” of Constanța county executed 397 missions, most of them – 317, being for providing first aid and transporting people with medical conditions to the hospital.
The military firefighters from Constanta were requested to intervene to locate and extinguish 13 fires, as a result of which only material damage was recorded.
During the mentioned period, the military firefighters also intervened in the case of 15 road accidents resulting in 22 victims who received medical care on the spot from the SMURD crews and those of the County Ambulance Service, 9 of them being later transported to the hospital.
Also, ISU “Dobrogea” crews intervened in 52 other situations such as door unlocking, ensuring PSI measures at SMURD helicopter takeoff/landing, or rescuing captive animals in environments hostile to life.
