There was an earthquake on Tuesday morning in Romania. It occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone.
From the first information announced by the National Research – Development Institute for Earth Physics, the earthquake on the morning of May 7 occurred at 06:41, in the Vrancea, Prahova seismic zone, at a depth of 117.5 kilometers. And it was 2.8 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake on Tuesday morning occurred near the following cities: 40km SE of Brașov, 49km N of Ploiesti, 54km S of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 66km NE of Târgoviște, 72km W of Buzău.
It is not the only telluric movement that took place in the country recently. “On May 6, 2024 at 02:11:42 (local time of Romania) a weak earthquake with a magnitude of ml 2.8 occurred in the SEISMIC ZONE VRANCEA, BUZĂU, at a depth of 114.5km.
The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 56km SE of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 60km NW of Buzău, 61km W of Focșani, 62km E of Brașov, 78km NE of Ploiesti”, according to the quoted source.
