The long way home, after the holiday at the seaside, got stuck today for some drivers on Autostrada Soarelui. The police have been filtering all day. Unwanted “stars” were an Israeli tourist, who was driving a luxury car while drugged, and a young man who was returning from Mamaia and tested positive for four prohibited substances.

The police also pulled over a young man who had spent Easter in Mamaia and had a cocktail of four types of narcotics in his blood: “We tested positive for cocaine, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine and ketamine.”

During the searches, the agents found an envelope with a suspicious substance, next to an icon. The young man explained to them that it was incense, but the police sent the dust for analysis. As well as some pills. “They are mentosans!”, he explained to them.

“More than 1,400 traffic policemen were during this period on the most important roads in the country to detect those who violate traffic rules or who get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances,” reports Denisa Dicu, Observer reporter.

The agents also dealt with traffic. On DN1, the cars of tourists returning from the Braşov – Valea Prahova area formed long lines since noon. The drivers made fun of the trouble and learned lessons for next time. “Let’s take the train, 50 lei, I’ll get there the fastest. In two hours. You can also drink a spritz on the way. That’s it,” says a driver.
