The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued, on Monday, Yellow Code flood warnings, valid for the next few hours, on rivers in the counties of Buzău, Vrancea, Neamţ, Bacău, Covasna and Suceava.

According to hydrologists, until 20:00as a result of the recorded and forecasted precipitation and the propagation, important leaks may occur on slopes, torrents, streams, rapid floods on small rivers with possible effects of local flooding, increases in flows and levels, with possible exceeding of Quotas of Attention, on the rivers in the Râmnicu Sărat hydrographic basin – upstream basin SH Tulburea, related to the counties of Buzău and Vrancea.

Also, until 21:00, the rivers in the Tazlău hydrographic basin – upstream basin SH Helegiu, in Neamţ and Bacău counties, are affected by similar phenomena. Dangerous hydrological phenomena can occur with greater probability on some small rivers in the Tazlăul Sărat basin.

According to INHGA, until 22:00 a flood warning is in force on the rivers in the Buzău hydrographic basin – the left tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Sita Buzăului, from Covasna and Buzău counties.

Hydrologists warn that dangerous phenomena can occur with greater probability on some rivers in the hydrographic basins: Slănic – upper basin, Sărătel – upper basin.

All until 22:00 the rivers in the Moldova hydrographic basin – the tributaries related to the downstream sector of SH Gura Humorului, Suceava and Neamţ counties are under Yellow Code of local floods, increases in flows and levels with possible exceedances of Attention Quotas.
