Passaris, Greek criminal who terrorized Romania and Europe, moved from the penitentiary under special conditions. Where was the “beast from the Balkans” sent?

Because he is approaching the term when Passaris will be able to be released on parole, his detention regime has been tamed, after 23 years in prison, from maximum security to closed regime, according to Special Arad.

The transfer of the feared criminal required the taking of special security measures, given that he remains one of the most dangerous prisoners in Romania.

Kostas Passaris was sentenced to life imprisonment in Romania, for particularly serious murder, after, on the night of November 24 to 25, 2001, he fatally shot two security guards of a currency exchange in the center of the Capital and fled with the money.

“He needs to be moved from prison to prison because he influences the clan leaders in the prisons, in the sense that he can manipulate them to his advantage. May attack colleagues. Increased security measures will be provided in Craiova as well. They are complementary measures to reduce the risk of an escape, riot, critical incidents. It greatly influences the prisoners with whom it comes into contact”, explained Cosmin Dorobanțu, the president of the Federation of Trade Unions from the National Administration of Penitentiaries, according to a TV station.
