Romanians will get rid of unnecessary trips to the Public Pension Houses and running after certificates and papers.
The Ministry of Labor has placed in the decision-making transparency procedure a draft decision of the Government regarding the Foundation Note regarding the necessity and opportunity of carrying out the expenses related to the investment project “New Integrated Information System of the National Public Pension House”.
“The Government of Romania has undertaken within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) Component 8 (Fiscal reform and pension reform) Milestone 240, Investment 10, Operational efficiency and advanced electronic services for the national pension system through digitization, to implement the new IT system within the National Public Pension House (CNPP), this IT system will include a series of components that work in an integrated and centralized manner:

Portal – The component of communication with public persons, which provides the current set of electronic services, as well as a new set of functionalities;

Electronic services in the field of pensions and other social security rights;

Electronic service for completing the application for issuing treatment tickets and electronic services in the taxpayer registration area

Electronic services in the field of work accidents and occupational diseases

The “e-Talon” application that will automatically generate the monthly pension coupon in electronic and printed format for all pensioners on the payroll;
The PNRR also obliges the Romanian Government to digitize the processing of requests for the services offered by the CNPP. Bringing all this data into a single digital format is mandatory for any CNPP digitization plan to support the pension reform / recalculation process.
This digitization task also involves the development of a central IT system within the CNPP, which will have the capacity to support the reforms / recalculation of public pensions.
The applications that make up the current IT system of CNPP are based on outdated technologies (2011-2012), without manufacturer support, which limits their adaptation possibilities to the new operational requirements and constitutes an increased risk of cyber security of the system”, says the Ministry of Labor .
