Easter liturgical program at churches in Prahova

Several churches in Prahova have published the liturgical program for Holy Week, including for the Resurrection service. On Friday and Saturday, the Sacrament of Confession and Communion takes place in the churches.

Orthodox Easter is celebrated on May 5. On Holy Saturday of Passion Week, services are held in the churches, and at midnight the Holy Easter service is celebrated. The consecration of the dishes takes place, and the fast ends. The faithful go to church to receive Light.

At midnight the address formula is “Christ is risen” and is answered with “Truly he is risen”. The greeting is kept for 40 days, until the Ascension of the Lord.

Several parishes in Prahova have communicated the liturgical program for Passion Week, including the Resurrection Service.

Liturgical program at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord/Heroes in Ploiesti

At the Church of the Ascension of the Lord/Heroes in Ploiești, on Friday morning, the Sacrament of Confession and Confession took place, as well as the Vespers of the Removal of the Holy Epitaph, and between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the Denia Prohodului is scheduled.

On Saturday morning, starting at 07.30, the Sacrament of Confession and Communion takes place, and at 24.00 the Resurrection Service takes place.

Gorgota Parish liturgical program

The Gorgota Parish announced that Denia Prohodului takes place on Friday, between 18.00 and 22.00.

On Saturday, between 08.30 – 10.00 the children will be shared, and between 23.45 – 00.00 is the Holy Saturday Canon.

The Resurrection Service (Easter Matins) takes place on the night of Saturday to Sunday, between 00.00 and 02.00, and between 02.00 and 04.00 is the Holy Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom.
