More than 1,500 policemen will be on duty, daily, in Prahova, during the mini-holiday of May 1 and Easter. Police officers will be present both in areas with a large influx of people and in the vicinity of places of worship, alongside representatives of state institutions with duties to ensure public order and tranquility.

The Prahova County Police Inspectorate has announced that over 1,500 police officers will ensure, between May 1 and 6, measures to maintain public order in crowded places, in the vicinity of places of worship, where religious services are to be held, as well as in tourist towns and in recreational areas.

“The planned police forces in service, between May 1-6, will act on several levels: one is prevention and deterrence, and the second is to combat anti-social acts and to firmly enforce the law.

During this period, more than 500 traffic policemen will act on the access roads that converge towards places of worship and leisure areas, in points with a high risk of accidents and at times of intense traffic, to combat excessive speed, prevent accidents and roadblocks, directing, streamlining and controlling traffic on the main communication routes to and from the tourist resorts.

In order to prevent serious traffic accidents and maintain a cautious attitude in traffic, the traffic police will act with approximately 30 radar devices”, stated the Prahova County Police Inspectorate.

On Easter night, to maintain public order at religious demonstrations, traffic police, public order, criminal investigations and other structures will be deployed, IPJ Prahova also announced.
